Re: conmigo que no cuente and other phrases

I regularly look at the cartoons 'problemas del primer mundo' each Thursday in El País. The one this week is about whether to go out on a weekday / entre semana. I have a number of difficulties with the cartoon. 1. conmigo que no cuente - does that mean I cannot relate to that - why is the subjunct...

Re: Estadista

As you both agree ... I have to accept the same word is not used for both . Certainly RAE only has the meanings set out by Heidita. Is the w...

Re: Preguntas para hablantes nativos de español (todos varia

Not sure exactly what you know about Spanish pronunciation. You need to know this, in order to have your students more or less understand you. On my first job, this kid in trying to teach me how to pronounce hollyWood, repeated a thousand times and I would say hollyGood or hollyBood, it became very ...

Re: ¿Hablamos mal español en América Latina?

I didn't understand any of those phrases. I am not sure what you all think of what I am about to write but to me that's not castellano, it is just slang. I understand that the RAE accepts slang words now but to me it does not constitute "the" language, just slang that's used by delinquents...
