Do you remember Jenny?

Postby Heidita » Fri Oct 30, 2015 7:45 pm

Do you remember Jenny? the girl who had this strange illness , bed-stricken and not able to move?

anyway, I was very happy to hear from her last night after quite some time. :soleado

This is what she said:

I’m now almost fully well. I study Spanish and German at the University of Cambridge; ... and my life is pretty amazing.

I am so glad and so happy and all those who knew her , all that time posting the Picture of the Day , will be glad to know that she is so well.

I still can't believe this is living alone and studying at University. :o :o

When I talked to her one of the first times, I didn't know anything of her strange illness and putting my foot in my mouth as usual, I said to her, come on, get out of bed, don't be so lazy. :? :? Hopeless. :w:

Anyway, for those who cared for her, you will be glad to know how well she is
I appreciate all English corrections, especially on style! :)

I could not be happier. Heidita and some of the senior members of the old "SD" forum rallied around and helped to support Jenny when she was clearly very poorly. I think she even traveled to America to meet some of the same people. Clearly it had an effect on her life since she is studying Spanish at one of the best universities in England. We are - and always were - a small community but it's really nice to know that we did our part. You rock Jenny. Hope you read this.

I'm also happy to hear about Jenny (If I remember correctly, originally "noname", remember?, later renamed herself "Jen" :) Or am I wrong?)

jeje, you are right, and she actually hates the "name" Jenny...but there you are, I always called her that :D

I shall never forget "plinky plonky Jen" her courage and determination to succeed and overcome her illness has been an inspiration in my life . I am not surprised that she has achieved everything that she wanted , and will achieve even more . Thank you all for reminding me of this courageous lovable tyke, her mother "Super Mom" needs also to be congratulated for believing in Jen and for standing by her side during those dreadful dark days . Love and best wishes to you all. Ray76.
